The Top Web Directories With Free URL Submission

The web directories in the table below are some of the better free submission directories we have found.

They have been ordered by Alexa rank. Why? Very simply, it is a rough indicator of how much traffic the directory's website receives. If it is receiving decent traffic, the reasoning is that it would be worthwhile to submit your site to that web directory. It is also more likely to get indexed by search engines frequently.

The "Add Site" link in the right column should take you right to the submission page. For those that do not have an "Add Site" link you will have to navigate on the site to find the submission page.

"Indexable" means the directory's pages can be indexed by the search engines. Some web pages on sites cannot be indexed due to the way the coding configures the URL or when the site is dynamic.

"Direct Link" refers to the actual link the directory gives to your site. Some directories have jump links or use javascript to link to your site. They do this to track the clicks. If you are hoping the link will boost your page rank, those kinds of links will not help. However, if the actual link has your URL in it (direct link), you will receive credit by the search engines.
